Personal Legal Services

Peter provides a variety of services that can help with legal issues that affect one’s personal life. Examples includes issues related to marriage and children, such as divorce, child custody, and child support; issues related to buying, selling, or refinancing a residence, or creating and managing a business entity; while we do not take criminal defense cases any longer, we frequently provide advice to clients in need of criminal defense attorneys and related issues.

Personal Injury and Wrongful Death

Peter has tried and settled numerous injury and wrongful death cases over many years of practice including a personal injury settlement exceeding $1.8 million and a wrongful death jury verdict in excess of $1.4 million in Cass County, Michigan, which until recently was the largest wrongful death jury verdict in Cass County.

Family Law

Peter has represented clients in all matters related to the divorce process, including custody, parenting time, child support, identification of marital and non-marital assets and debts, business valuations, and property division, and the review and drafting of prenuptial and cohabitation agreements.

Corporate/LLC Matters

Peter has formed and advised many limited liability companies and corporations and has successfully mediated, negotiated and, where necessary, litigated complicated commercial/contracts disputes.

Mediation Services-Civil and Domestic

Peter is an experienced mediator and provides mediation services in both civil and domestic matters.

Wills, Trusts and Probate

Peter’s experience includes estate planning, probate and trust administration, and the occasional need for dispute resolution and litigation of probate and trust administration disputes.
